The Workstation Segment Director is responsible for the business of workstation desktops in partnership with DPG. This role requires understanding the market, segment forecasting revenues and identifying and delivering platform usages and experiences, delivering product requirements to the platform management team, and being accountable for achieving revenue goals.


The Workstation segment is a strategic play and growth area for the business.

This job role reports into the Vice President and General Manager of the Desktop, Workstation, and Channel group.


This leadership role is foundational to delivering workstation focus with common usage requirements in market areas where we can drive business growth.


The owner will drive and align across platform, form factor, user, usages/pain points, experiences in a way that prioritizes our workload enabling needs, influences customer platform roadmaps, enables competitive position, exposes how we maximize our platform capabilities.


This position will interact with a wide range of stakeholders in business unit sales including influencing sales KPI's, segment marketing and operations.


The owner will also track and report out on business goals, risks, and opportunities in order to ensure intel's success in the workstation market.


The Director will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Managing a direct and matrixed diverse team of high performing individuals

  • Setting the strategic and long-term focus for the Workstation Desktop business, including interfacing with LRP, MMBP and finance on financial goals and execution.

  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and senior management to assist in establishing and implementing a vision, roadmap, and governance to address present business needs and support future growth

  • Operationalize the organization and drive results through qualitative and quantitative analytics, financial modeling, and strategic prioritization of key business objectives

  • Interact frequently with customers to understand and deliver on their needs.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Expertise in working in highly matrixed and ambiguous environments

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • The ability to interact with senior leaders across the Intel, Customers and Partners


Minimum Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years experience in segment or product marketing or a related field
  • Experience in Workstation or IT highly desired
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and coaching individuals to success

The Client Computing Group (CCG) is responsible for driving business strategy and product development for Intel's PC products and platforms, spanning form factors such as notebooks, desktops, 2 in 1s, all in ones.
