The Hardware Technology group is a growing, high energy, results oriented team. This group seeks an Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to lead and coordinate activities related to Wireless Technology materials critical to delivering Apple products. We are looking for an inventive, ambitious EPM who utilizes a proven EE/RF background to understand technical details of multi-functional issues and risks. This will enable you to set the proper priorities, put risk mitigation plans in place, and call out to executive management as required.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of meaningful industry experience.
  • Proven experience creating and tracking Purchase Requisitions/Orders (PR/PO) process with internal and external teams.
  • Ability to influence, effectively communicate and drive deadlines with vendors (either CM or component vendors).
  • Understanding of basic development board design and BOM components (preferably for hardware products and Agile).
  • Detail orientation and dedication to accuracy.
  • At least 8 years of industry experience primarily in the wireless space. Experience in WiFi and Bluetooth is a plus.
  • Experience working with wireless technologies in consumer/portable products.
  • Experience with semiconductor design and manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and written, including capability to drive executive meetings to make key decisions on wireless technologies.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Experienced in setting up project schedules and work breakdown structures.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Ability to react to resets and constant changes in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with large, multi-functional teams.

Description
Lead multi-functional development teams.
Management and tracking of development schedules.
Identify and prioritize project tasks and risks.
Drive suppliers, integrate their work and schedules into the system development process.
Communicating status and the big picture to the project team and executive management.
Project risk assessment.
Drive multi-functional and vendor failure / root cause analysis and implement corrective action measures.

Education & Experience

BS EE/CE degree required, MS desired.
