We are committed to developing bleeding-edge wireless power technologies with the best user experience and safety guarantee. In this process, we build wireless power systems involving multiple levels of software-hardware subsystems with complicated interactions. It's a design challenge we take to ensure proper operations of these subsystems across all operating conditions and use cases. To solve this challenge and make the design process more predictable, accurate, and optimized, we are building a technology platform that combines the best simulation, emulation, and design techniques.

We are looking for a new team member with an architectural mindset, excellent coding and hardware design skills to significantly push forward the development of this technology platform. You will be part of a team developing innovative concepts implemented in products used by many millions of people.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience working on the interface between hardware and software systems
  • Excellent programming skills, familiar with Matlab/Python and object-oriented programming
  • Excellent hardware prototyping skills
  • Familiar with modular design methodology


In this position, you'll be a key member of Apple's core architecture team for wireless power. The role is critical for enabling a more nimble development and validation methodology for the wireless power team. Key responsibilities include:

Design and develop a platform that represents complex dynamical systems and accurately predicts behavior and interactions of high-level sensing and control algorithms.
Design and maintain software-hardware interfaces at different layers
Create efficient, real-time data and control exchange channels
Architect the platform to make it extensible and scalable for various wireless power systems.
Develop unit-test and regression tests framework for continuous integration
- Utilizing the platform, explore alternate algorithms and control loops to achieve higher performance.
Identify and ameliorate unexpected and corner case interactions.

Education & Experience

Masters in EE or CS; relevant industrial experience working on hardware-software systems is a plus.
