Job Description

A successful candidate will be responsible for System and Validation for a Power Management domain that includes.

The candidate will need to apply his expertise in Domain technologies and Silicon and Software development, integration, Validation and debug to build a strong Validation strategy for Power Management features and technologies

A successful candidate will be responsible, but not limited to:

  • Review, Revise platform functional requirements for Power Management and relevant low power features along with Platform Val architects.
  • Define Validation strategy and develop platform coverage test content, and use case to validate functionality stability compliance, and optimize for power and performance.
  • Providing validation guidance to execution teams-play leadership role in driving active
  • Debug and collaborating with partners and stakeholders to build quality in features and experiences in the domain.
  • Work on improving validation architecture methods and automation and drive strategic imperatives in the domain and for the org.
  • Responsible for making improvements to methods efficiency and competencies.
  • Coach and Mentor team to become technically proficient in domain and debug.
  • Grow as a technical leader for the org.

The successful candidate must demonstrate:

  • Understanding high-level platform and SoC architecture proficient with computer system architecture flow.
  • Understanding of TypeC and Thunderbolt Architecture with a deep understanding in TypeC SoC blocks.
  • Understanding in overall system-level power management flows with deeper knowledge in IP specific controller specific bus level power management flows
  • High-problem solving acumen
  • Should be proficient hands-on with Windows SWFW debug using tools and traces Familiar with platform Silicon Debug tools.
  • Articulate and report out weekly on IP health status Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have good interpersonal skills and role mode required SIV org and Intel culture and values.
  • Proficiency in Power Management and System IO functionality and HW/SW/FW flows and interactions.
  • Proficiency in Architecture, Debug of complex HW/SW issues.
  • USB and Power Delivery protocol level analysis knowhow is a plus.


Must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Engineer, Computer Science, Electrical Engineer or similar technical STEM degree with 12+ years of experience in the following fields:

  • Software development integration and validation SiliconIP
  • Validation with technical depth and expertise in POWer Management/Low Power features at IP/System level.
  • Building validation strategy and test plans coverage
  • Unit functional integration
  • exploratory Systems Integration
  • knowledge of Microsoft OS internals and Software and Firmware Stack
  • Hands-On System Software OS or silicon debug with a passion to solve problems and build quality.
