Job Description

The Windows Developer for Integrated EW Tools position in the Test Engineering Division (TEN) will design and develop Windows tools applications for research in the area of Integrated EW (IEW). These tools are used to program and test Mission data for IEW applications that integrate the function of airborne federated EW systems, avionics, and data links. IEW provides improved aircraft self-protection suite performance, improved pilot situational awareness, and embedded training functions.


  • Design, develop and debug PC-based Windows software for IEW applications using approved processes and coding standards for windows applications
  • Document software requirements and design implementations
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers to specify high-level tools software requirements
  • Collaborate with software team using the Agile methodology to estimate, plan, and manage tasks as well as reporting progress
  • Perform other duties as assigned

10% - 25% travel

Education & Length of Experience

Research Engineer/Scientist I

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree field.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Hands-on software programming experience through coursework, internship, or previous employment

Candidates currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree with a graduation date of December 2020 and skills relevant to this position will be considered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with one or more of the following software languages: C#, C++, and Python
  • Knowledge of EW and avionics system architecture, function, and interface
  • Experience with git-based configuration management systems
  • Knowledge of the Model-View-ViewModel architecture
  • Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) concepts and tools, e.g., Jenkins, VM Ware, Docker, and Bitbucket
  • Active SECRET clearance

U.S. Citizenship Requirements

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.
