Job Description

GTRI's Dayton Field Office seeks undergraduate students for a 14-week web development internship for Fall 2021. The position will primarily involve web development work on a variety of projects. Specifically, this internship will involve work developing web-based training programs.
The internship position will involve: Writing, testing, and documenting websites to specifications with a team of developers and researchers Collaboration and clear, professional communication with teammates and stakeholders

The internship may involve web development using the following tools and languages:
HTML5, CSS, Javascript, JSON, React
Java (Server Side) experiences including building Rest Calls, DB Queries, and End points
Docker configuration, usage, and management
DB PostgreSQL administration

Required Minimum Qualifications

Intern

  • Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with agile development processes and tools
  • Familiarity with Linux and open-source tools
  • Understanding of industry-standard version control techniques
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas both verbally and in writing
