We are seeking a Program Administrator to support the W80-4 Program Office and management team. This position resides within the Weapons and Complex Integration (WCI) Principal Directorate Office. The selected candidate will work with program management to develop and implement administrative policies and procedures customized to the programs needs and requirements. Also, will act as a resource with major proactive responsibility for the daily operational activities of administrative functions required in an independent setting.Essential Duties
- Manage the day-to-day oversight of the Program Office operations to include program or security audits/assessments/independent reviews.
- Represent management in daily matters to gather, clarify, coordinate and disseminate information and activities, which will require internal and external cross coordination
- Supervise administrative staff including performance management, performance appraisals, mentoring, workload management
- Responsible Manager and Custodian for the Programs vault type room (VTR).
- Gather, select, and compile information from various sources for reports and presentations. Prepare administrative and scientific material including correspondence, documents, tables, charts, and reports.
- Establish and maintain complex databases, spreadsheets, and tracking systems to ensure action items are completed by the required due date, and pro-actively follow-up on any outstanding items.
- Organize and coordinate large and small-scale meetings encompassing all necessary administrative logistics.
- Responsible for the general oversight and personal commitment to the goals of Integrated Safety Management, Integrated Safeguards and Security Management, compliance with all ES&H regulations, good business practices, diversity, and equal opportunity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
- Administrative experience with advanced skills, including accurate keyboarding, editing, use of grammar and proofreading skills, knowledge of office procedures, techniques and methods.
- Demonstrated advanced problem solving and organizational skills, including the coordination of multiple activities and the ability to independently determine and set priorities and goals and make decisions.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact successfully with a diverse workforce.
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive and utilize negotiation skills to meet programmatic needs and requirements.
- Experience interacting with all levels of personnel exercising a high degree of discretion, mature judgment, and tact in handling issues of a sensitive nature and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills necessary to effectively explain, present, direct, negotiate and influence others. Experience representing management to diverse internal and external contacts, communicating managers direction.
- Advanced knowledge of computers and associated software including MS Office applications and experience developing complex reports for use in management decision making.
- Experience working effectively as a team member as well as independently with under minimal supervision in an environment with frequent interruptions and changing deadlines, instructions and priorities.Desired Skills
- Experience working with classified environment and with classified documents.
- Experience leading large projects and strategically utilizing ones network to meet programmatic needs.

Pre-Employment Drug Test: External applicant(s) selected for this position will be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test. This includes testing for use of marijuana as Federal Law applies to us as a Federal Contractor.

Security Clearance: This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at time of hire.

Note: This is a Career Indefinite position. Lab employees and external candidates may be considered for this position.
