About the Group:

As an integral part of Intels new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally. Intel Foundry Services will be differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe available for customers globally and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can choose from including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP, along with Arm and RISC-V ecosystem IPs. IFS will also provide access to silicon design services to help our customers seamlessly turn silicon into solutions, using industry standard design packages. This business unit is completely dedicated to the success of its customers with full P&L responsibilities. This model will ensure that our foundry customers products will receive our utmost focus in terms of service, technology enablement and capacity commitments. IFS is already engaged with customers today starting with our existing foundry offerings and we are expanding imminently to include our most advanced technologies, which are optimized for cutting-edge performance, making them ideal for high-performance applications.

About the Role

Intel Foundry Services is looking for a highly collaborative, influential, and experienced leader, responsible for driving IFS technology and design enablement for IFS customers - aligned with best known foundry industry standards and practices. In this role, this leader will be building an IFS team with domain expertise in all areas of design enablement and engineering. This role will be both customer facing and internal-Intel-partners facing to drive the optimization in technology definitions through scenario analysis to align with customer design requirements and driving strategic initiatives.  This leader should have deep first-hand expertise in Advanced Design methods, Technology Definition and Design/System Co-optimization, Test-chip Design, PDK Development on advanced node technologies. Additionally, this role requires broad knowledge of the semiconductor market, and deep understanding of foundry industry and business fundamentals. Strategic thinking, data driven analytical skills, ability to present and communicate strategies concisely and clearly are all critical requirements.   


  • Build highly motivated and competent team with broad and deep expertise in customer development engineering and ease of use, industry knowledge, analytical capabilities, and strategic communication skills
  • Drive alignment between customer requirements and Intels technology and design capability / offerings
  • Represent IFS and customer voice in Process technology pathfinding, and optimization for customer needs
  • Drive customer specific evaluations, optimizations and bench-marking
  • Drive Industry- standard customer specific collaterals from IFS side aligning it to customers needs.
  • Collaborate and drive the design ease of use activities from customers perspective
  • Cross organizational collaboration with design and technology development teams to ensure on-time delivery and solution resolution for customers.

Experience Required:             

  • Demonstrated experience in Advanced design Technologies and design enablement
  • Proven leadership and ability to build and lead multi-cultural and highly competent cross functional teams


Degree in Engineering, with business acumen/experience, MS/PhD and/or MBA preferred
