Integral to Citi Cards success is strong and effective Risk Management that allows us to serve our customers while also protecting Citis interests. Brands Risk Management division comprises of 400+ highly qualified individuals spread across the globe.

The Credit Portfolio Officer position will be responsible for managing the Credit risk underwriting policies and strategies for a major portfolio within Co-Brands Underwriting team, while optimally balancing customer engagement and experience within Citis Risk Appetite Framework.


+ Execute complex credit risk analysis utilizing sophisticated analytical tools including SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, SQL, decision tree software such as Knowledge Seeker, and advanced Excel on UNIX and Teradata platforms.

+ Design credit tests leveraging innovative constructs such as Design of Experiments to measure risk performance by key levers of model scores and Credit Bureau variables.

+ Develop, test, implement, and optimize credit risk management policies and strategies for the Cards portfolio using statistical techniques including linear regression, logistic regression, segmentation and decision tree analysis, etc.

+ Utilize sophisticated analytical methodologies to optimize credit risk strategies with various constraints and objective functions.

+ Identify policy improvement opportunities and take ownership of policy analytics from conception to execution.

+ Conceptualize and develop effective MIS/Reporting and data capabilities to facilitate credit risk management decisions and policies. Create presentations to inform senior internal (Citi) and external Co-Branded cards partners regarding Risk Management growth and control initiatives, forecasts, and outcomes.

+ Analyze bureau and credit information to determine statistical significance of information and perform risk and reward trade off analysis.

+ Perform ad-hoc analyses using SQL/SAS, Teradata, Tableau, and use MIS to communicate drivers of variability in Program performance.

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. **Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors Degree required in statistics, mathematics, engineering, physics, economics, or related quantitative discipline

+ 5+ years experience in risk management, financial services or relevant field

+ Experience with analytical or data manipulation tools (e.g. SAS, SQL, R, SPSS)

+ Proficient with MS Office suite

+ Excellent quantitative and analytic skills; ability to derive patterns, trends and insights, and perform risk/reward trade-off analysis

+ Ability to build effective presentations to communicate analytical findings to a wide array of audiences

+ Effective cross-functional project, resource, and stakeholder management; effectively engage with internal audit and external regulators

+ Experience with end-to-end project planning and management across multiple organizational levels **Education:**

+ Bachelor's degree/University degree in statistics, mathematics, finance, or equivalent experience

+ Master's degree preferred
