Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

 

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Cleveland State University invites applications for the position of a visiting professor in the area of electrical engineering, from August 2019 to May 2020, with the possibility of renewal.

 

Responsibilities include teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and student advising. The teaching requirement is between 12 and 16 credit hours (three or four courses) per semester. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Earned doctoral degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  2. Ability to teach and interact with both undergraduate and graduate students.
  3. Skillful in computer-based design and analysis tools.
  4. With at least one year hands-on experience in electrical engineering.
  5. With at least one year teaching experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering or a related field (in addition to the minimum qualification of an earned doctoral degree).
  2. Industrial experience.
  3. Good communication skills.
  4. Research experience.
