Your specific duties will include:

  • Collaborate with UX research colleagues to identify, define and develop rapidly deployable prototypes and interfaces to assist with UX research

  • Convert UX concepts, wireframes or other prototypes into functioning technologies and physical/hardware/software proof-of-concepts that can be deployed and tested in real-world settings

  • Work closely with engineers and research scientists to develop solutions architectures

  • Develop technologies that are optimized and performant to UX metrics and standards

  • Contribute to knowledge of human-AI collaboration to be published in scientific journals and research papers


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, engineering or related discipline. Must have the required degree or expect the required degree by September 2021.

  • 1+ years of work experience developing interactive UX prototypes, end-user applications, games or other end user experiences (physical and/or mixed reality POCS including physical props, HW, SW)

  • 1+ years of experience with programming (e.g. Python/C/C++/C#)

  • 1+ years of experience with principles of user experience design based on program of study or work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, engineering or related discipline

  • 3+ years of experience of front-end web development with modern technologies (e.g. HTML/CSS/javascript, ReactJS, responsive design)

  • Working knowledge of general SW development practices (e.g. Debugging,

  • Documentation and bug tracking, Git versioning, Unit testing, CI/CD)

  • Knowledge of different OSs (e.g. Windows/Linux),

  • Knowledge of 3D engines (e.g. Unity3D, Unreal)

  • Familiarity with key principles of user-centered design, interaction design, graphic design, and UI design

  • Experience in a research laboratory setting, 2+ publications in HCI related conferences (CHI, Ubicomp, UIST, CSCW, HRI, etc)
