Job Description

Intel's Technology Development Analytics and Technology Automation (TD ATA) organization hires talented UX designers to support the enhancement of Intel's leading factory automation systems, ensuring optimized and efficient use. As a UX Designer, you will work with the UX Research and Design team and partner with other UX designers / software engineers across TD ATA to deliver excellent factory automation system user experiences.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Design, execution, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative research studies centered on TD ATA system user experience
  • Assessment of user research results to determine proposed changes and design requirements
  • Definition, illustration, and presentation of proposed application flows based on research results through user scenarios/ journeys/ flows, storyboards, wireframes, prototype interfaces, and data visualizations
  • Creation of interactive prototypes for user evaluation, assessment, and feedback
  • Collaboration with internal user experience and software development teams to align on standardized visual design assets

  • Communication and clear presentation skills
  • Analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills paired with creativity.
  • Visualization skills (e.g., storyboarding, sketching, etc.)


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Received a BS, Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Graphic Design, HCI, Human Factors, or related discipline or expect the required degree by December 2021.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working with:
    • Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, XD)
    • At least three of the following: CorelDRAW, GIMP, Sketch, Invision, Figma, Balsamiq, Axure
    • Experience working with software development teams using agile and/ or waterfall methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 months of experience working with:
    • Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio, .NET)
    • Object Oriented Programming (C#, C++, Java)
    • Microsoft or Linux operating systems
    • Oracle or Microsoft database technologies
