Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of the Client Ecosystem Development (CED) team.

The candidate's primary responsibility will be, but not limited to:

  • Technically enabling external USB-C vendor solutions for upcoming Intel client platforms.  This includes Power Delivery component solutions as well as other components necessary for the platform. 
  • Working to technically enable USB vendors to support industry-leading solutions for Intel's upcoming client platforms.
  • Driving technical resolution for issues across vendors and Intels platforms. 
  • Driving Intel/vendor bring up and debug sessions, and then driving vendor issue resolution. 
  • Working with additional vendors to provide necessary collateral and support related technical questions. Intel enables vendors to create devices to support Intel requirements and platforms.  This position would provide collateral to vendors.
  • Interacting with internal teams and vendors to understand, specify, and communicate requirements.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with cross functional teams like marketing and engineering to understand, specify, and communicate requirements
  • Able to analyze and debug hardware and software issues


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar technical STEM degree with:

  • 2+ years industry experience
  • 2+ years of experience in hardware development and/or USB-C technologies  
  • 2+ years of experience with PC hardware (including I/O bus) architecture


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar technical STEM degree
  • 1+ years of experience with:
    • Cross-group program management, spec management, validation, integration testing, strong planning and execution, vendor engagement and support
    • Windows and Chrome operating systems
    • Programming languages: C , C++ or plus any scripting language
