Apple's Sales organization generates the revenue needed to fuel our ongoing development of products and services. This in turn, enriches the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world. As part of our Business Operations group, you will be responsible for supporting sales team to deliver Apple technology to carrier partners. You'll apply your abilities for strategy, planning, and execution to devise operational solutions.

We are seeking a Business Operations Lead to support the U.S. Carrier Sales organization. In this role, you will partner closely with sales, offers, supply chain, reseller ops and finance teams to analyze business performance, understand market dynamics, provide insights on this performance to leadership, and identify weekly opportunities and playbook(s) of actions to be driven across the team. You will help drive the preparation of weekly reviews/materials to assess performance of business, monitor daily/weekly performance to dig into trends, help find opportunities and insights to improve performance, and drive execution across teams to achieve it.

The role includes assimilating into the regular weekly cadence of the Carrier business, but also looking at longer term opportunities and driving post-mortem/takeaways from events, promotions and market actions.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of business planning, operations, strategy and/or sales management experience
  • Demonstrated success in relevant positions encompassing consumer/business intelligence, product marketing, product management, commercial management, market research, finance and/or strategy planning.
  • Possess a high level of numeracy and data management capabilities and excellent analytic and presentation/communication skills.
  • Strength managing complex cross-functional initiatives

Description

We own business performance analysis - identifying variances, defining causes, specifying potential actions and their impact. We understand and show impact of market and competitive dynamics on business performance over various time periods.
- We deliver key components of weekly sales discussions with company leadership. We drive and measure execution impact across teams to deliver - against opportunities.
- We own perspective on key trends impacting end markets (industry structure, competitive behavior, consumer behavior, ecosystem economics, etc.) - We define implications of current and potential trends/events, and action plans.
- We run sales performance analytics and quarterly/weekly dashboards for sales leadership; highlight implications and suggest actions for remediation/ improvement. We deliver overall and disaggregated analyses of sales performance (e.g., attainment, growth, growth vs. market/ sub-market, share changes).
- We support business planning and lead business performance reviews (e.g., QBRs), NPI planning for carrier business.
- We support sales ideas for growth by helping analyze their net economic impact and engage in allocation and supply analytics. We collaborate with reseller operations, finance, and sales to support forecast calls, evaluation of inventory needs, etc.
- We provide analytics to manage trade-offs in times of product constraint (within business, across the U.S.)

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree; master's degree preferred.
