The scientific scope of the position is a holistic and transdisciplinary approach to III-V compound semiconductor technology, from material to applications, with focus on microwave and millimetre-wave electronics, opto-electronics, and quantum technologies.
Linked to the professorship is the position as Head of the Ferdinand-Braun-Institut (FBH), Leibniz-Institut für Höchstfrequenztechnik, which comprises the scientific, technical and entrepreneurial leadership and the responsibility for the future development of FBH within the Leibniz-Gemeinschaft.
The position requires close co-operation with other TU chairs in electrical engineering and physics and with the other Berlin universities, particularly, Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, as well as with national and international research and industrial partners.
