Intel's Technology Group is seeking a passionate and energetic Test Engineer to help in operating system image development and software validation of the next generation Intel HDMT testers

We are currently looking for a talented Software and Systems Engineer to fill the dual role of:

1) Developing Windows operating system images (ghost files) used within HDMT Testers
2) Manage Continuous Integration for software teams by leading regression triage and debug activities

The position requires the ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects while balancing deadlines and priorities, in addition to communicating the progress of current projects with the team.
You will be working with other engineers to validate software and interactive tools for Intel products, and have opportunities to contribute to the entire tester software stack and ecosystem such as PCIe/USB Windows drivers, C++ data structure/compiler, API, GUI, etc.

We're looking for experienced engineers with test program development (TD), ATE validation/development hands-on experience, who are motivated to seeing their creative solutions used to test by billions of Intel devices in the next decade.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Create, Modify and Debug Windows Operating System Images using tools such as Norton Ghost.
- Lead and Manager Integration Testing across multiple hardware platforms and multiple software branches.
- Write HDMT test classes and user functions to test new software and hardware features on HDMT.
. Analyzes software requirements and designs, and provides feedback on their test-ability.
- Debugs software products using systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
- Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans.
- Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
- Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
- Analyzes test results to ensure correct functionality, determine root causes of failures and recommends corrective action.
- Files defects for any failures.
- Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience or Masters degree with 2+ years of experience or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience developing or validation software.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting windows images or patches
  • 2+ years of experience scripting in Python.

1+ years of experience in the following:

  • Script in PowerShell.
  • Windows .bat files.
  • Developing with C++ or C#.
  • Windows administration experience.

Preferred qualifications:

1+ years of experience in the following:

  • NET and Visual Studio or Other IDEs.
  • Agile/Scrum software development.
  • Computer Architecture, Operating System and concepts.

5+ years of experience in the following:

  • Software validation, ATE experience, Semiconductor Test Content development.
  • Continuous Integration concepts with a strong preference for experience with Team City.
  • Experience with Docker.
