Job Description

Intel's Sort/Test Technology Development Group STTD is an exciting place to work driving world-class innovations in manufacturing and process control.
The position is for a STTD PCM (Probe Card Metrology) module engineering role within the sort program. As a STTD PCM module engineer, the candidate will be expected to develop and sustain new Sort Interface Unit (SIU) and its metrology tools. PCM engineer will develop metrology/inspection tooling solutions to enable next generation testing of Intel's products. This requires understanding and developing new HW/SW as well as qualification, upgrade, and testing capabilities. Engineering activities will include metrology data analysis, SIU maintenance, fab operation, and tooling/qualification during new Sort Test development and factory deployment programs.

Candidate must exhibit the following behavioral traits/skills:

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences .

Minimum qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a PhD degree with 1+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related Engineering degree.

Must have the required degree or expect the required degree by December 2021.

Preferred Qualifications:

6+ months of experience in the following:

  • Semiconductor process or equipment experience.
  • Scripting and programming experience.
