The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) is within the Systems Integration & Test directorate at RMD. The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) includes all of the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including: test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization and engineering laboratory management. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.

The selected candidate will play a key role in the Test Operations & Environments department as a Planning Production Control Specialist who will work with multiple organizations and roles to manage and forecast the procurement deliveries, hurdles, and material receipt for developmental engineering electrical and mechanical hardware builds and capital purchases. Duties include monitoring and expediting the Supply Chain activities associated in the fabrication of prototype assemblies associated with Engineering requirements. This position includes generating and monitoring the progression of multiple requisitions through the procurement cycle, facilitating resolution of procurement issues, and insuring items are delivered to meet customers schedules. The candidate will resolve procurement issues, be in constant contact with the supply base, ensure quality, cost, and schedule requirements are met, identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities and report this information to multiple requesting organizations. Selected individual will participate in the procurement, management, and disposition of material required for engineering development utilizing various tools including SAP, PRISM, and MRP type software.

Individual will be expected to be a focal point in the Engineering organization, prioritization, and scheduling of tasks associated with hardware procurement in conjunction with IPT Leads, REAs, internal or external manufacturing facilities as well as keeping other elements within Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Property, and Program Management informed of progress.


U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:
  • Typically requires a related University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience
  • Two (2) or more years of experience with material procurement
  • Experience with material planning including cost and schedule forecasting
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including MS Project
  • U.S. Citizenship Required


Desired Education, Skills and Experience:
  • Must possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize activities and maintaining ongoing status with multiple stake holders
  • Ability to navigate multiple complex processes and tools including SAP, PRISM and MRP type software
  • Familiarity with RMS Contractor Acquired Material (CAM) policies and requirements
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) requirements
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with and take direction from Functional Management and IPTs from multiple programs
  • A strong desire to take the initiative in a product ownership environment who knows when to ask questions or ask for help
