The Display and Color group at Apple is looking for an exceptional Software Automation engineer to work along side the Engineering development team to drive the Software quality and Integration.

Key Qualifications

  • Design and Develop innovative ideas that tackle automation and execution problems
  • Automation experience in modern scripting or compiled languages (Python, Objective-C, Swift, C++, etc.)
  • Experience with hardware and/or software development lifecycle processes
  • 1+ years of QA experience, preferably on consumer hardware/software products
  • Strong debugging and triaging capabilities
  • Ability to identify and contribute Software fixes quickly and accurately in a fast paced development environment
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment and comfortable working with multi-functional teams

Description

This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong programming fundamentals and prior programming or automation experience to handle responsibilities which will span all phases of development.
You will be responsible for writing new automated tests for Display Software/Firmware, and for maintaining the infrastructure necessary to run that automation. In early development phases, you will be asked to develop an automation test plan in partnership with development engineering to cover the new features of our products. As development progresses, you will work closely with engineers to build, run automated test suites and triage the failures. Along the way, you will build knowledge of issues with our products and expand the automation test suites to cover those.

Education & Experience

BS/MS degree in Computer Science OR equivalent degree OR equivalent experience
