The Department of Applied Computer Science at The University of Winnipeg invites outstanding candidates to apply for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the time of appointment, with a specialization in Computer Security or Networking. Outstanding candidates in other areas of Computer Science or closely related fields will be given serious consideration.

The candidate will be responsible for developing curriculum related to the focus areas.  Candidates must have a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching, and will teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  The successful candidate will share in the administrative responsibilities of the department, play an active role in the advising and supervision of students, and have opportunities to supervise students in the department’s M.Sc. program in Applied Computer Science and Society. 

Subject to budgetary approval, this position will be effective from January 1, 2019. Salary levels will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The selection committee will begin reviewing applications on September 4, 2018 and will continue until the position is filled; full consideration is assured for applications received by August 31, 2018.
