Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor

Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at The Catholic University of America invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, beginning Fall 2020. All areas in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science will be considered although Computer Engineering areas are preferred.

The Catholic University of America, located in Washington D.C., is composed of 12 schools offering a wide variety of undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees. The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, in the School of Engineering, offers bachelor’s degrees (ABET accredited) and graduate degrees (MS and PhD) in both electrical engineering and computer science, as well as a professional master’s degree in data analytics and graduate certificate programs in data analytics, power electronics, and cyber security and privacy. Duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses as assigned by the department chair, developing externally-funded research programs, supervising graduate and undergraduate students, and pursuing scholarly publications and professional activities. Qualified candidates must have an earned doctorate in computer engineering, computer science or electrical engineering. Candidates should have the ability to motivate and inspire students through effective teaching and communication, demonstrate the potential to establish an externally-funded research program, and have a strong record of scholarly publications.
