Job Description

In this position, you will work in an exciting electron microscopy lab supporting Intel's advanced technology development. 

The TEM Technician will be responsible for but not limited to: 

  • Technical functions in support of engineering activities such as fabrication, failure analysis, technology development, process development, and process integration. 
  • Conduct engineering tasks and detailed technical procedures to perform sample preparation or imaging using advanced focused-ion-beam and/or transmission electron microscope tools in support of the research and development activities of Intel.
  • Work is completed according to general instructions. Some degree of judgment is required in resolving nonstandard problems. 
  • Maintain necessary records and reports. Performs other related duties as required or as directed. 
  • Continuous upgrading of skillset requires an open attitude and skills to learn from others. 
  • Training will be provided. The candidate will be working in a compressed week-night shift schedule that includes a weekend night.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates

Candidate must possess at least one of the following:


  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a Technical Area (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Technology, Science or comparable field).
  • 1+ years of hands-on Lab and or manufacturing experience.
  • Technical Certification.
  • 1+ years of military-relevant experience.
  • Position not eligible for Intel Sponsorship.


 Preferred Qualifications:


  •  Prior experience with transmission electron microscopy (TEM) or focused ion beam (FIB) or scanning electron microscopy (SEM) or metrology or semiconductor fabrication tools.
