Job Description

As the Technology Quality and Reliability Engineer in support of our foundry business, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Responsible for characterizing the susceptibility of our foundry technologies to ionizing radiation; work with our technology and product partners to enable reliable and competitive products.
  • Design specialized test chips, plan and conduct radiation test campaigns to collect and analyze radiation effects data. Further, model radiation effects to interpret collected data
  • Interact with internal and external customers and our foundry technology development partners on radiation effects related topics.
  • Develop state of the art radiation effects test and assessment methods.
  • Willingness to travel in support of our testing campaigns.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the following degrees plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below. 

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or a related field of study with 8+ years relevant experiences; OR
  • Masters degree  in Electrical Engineering or Materials Science, Physics or a related field of study with 3+ years relevant experience; OR
  • PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Materials Science, Physics or a related field of study with 1+ years relevant experience
  • 1+ years of experience in radiation effects testing and data analysis

Preferred qualifications:

  •  Experience in experimental design, execution, and interpretation.
  •  Experience with semiconductor fabrication, integration, and characterization.
  •  Experience in VLSI circuit design, including analog and digital
  •  Understanding of reliability failure statistics, physics, or failure mechanisms.
  • Experience programming with formal language (C,C++, C#, etc.) and scripting language (JSL, PERL, Python, SQL, TCL, VBScript, etc.)
