The Retail Engineering organization has the goal of providing an intuitive, seamless and inspiring customer experience interacting with our people, products and services. This Engineering Program Manager (EPM) will work along side our global retail and engineering teams to support the expansion of Apple physical and online store presence. This EPM will also work on compliance initiatives focusing on Apple Retail. The key teams this individual will work include but not limiting to Engineering, Regulatory and Security Compliance, Retail Security, Information Security, Finance, Legal, Talent, Operations, Retail Product Management, Real Estate & Development and more.

Key Qualifications

  • Retail industry knowledge and experienced in Software Development Lifecycle (i.e. Waterfall, Agile)
  • Experience navigating various regulatory and security compliance requirements in highly regulated industry is required.
  • Experience in business and technical impact analysis from emerging regulations is strongly desired.
  • Ability to collaborate with and report to multiple partners, including information security teams, infrastructure teams, external and internal auditors, legal teams, and application engineering teams.
  • Strong decision-making, problem solving and prioritization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple multi-million dollar projects at a given time
  • Ability to lead, take action and provide goal-oriented direction in the face of ambiguity
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills for various levels of audience including senior leadership
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaborating across many international teams of different cultural backgrounds
  • Comfortable inspiring change across projects, programs and processes
  • Technically strong and ability to quickly understand multiple systems at a high level, in order to be able to explain to the retail business team
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Must have a passion for process re-engineering and driving predictability while enabling innovation
  • Must be a very good team player with proven abilities to demonstrate collaboration and cross functional team management
  • Knowledge of SAP, exposure to retail systems including POS and retail payment processing systems is a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years project management experience in software/technology field
  • Working on macOS is a plus.


Manage large cross functional projects involving physical retail and online geo expansions.
Manage security compliance projects from end to end by leading cross-functional teams, strategizing, motivating and communicating to achieve desired results.
Be the business relationship lead for the projects assigned, working closely with the business project manager
Lead the technical direction and approach for such projects while defining the timelines and scope in collaboration with the business project manager
Create and manage the project plan, deliverables, dependencies, and outcome
Ensure that the project goals and objectives are achieved within the established project timeframe, guidelines/scope, and budget
Drive security compliance requirements, from emerging states to implementation and audits, collaborating with internal and external partners, and more
Manage the day-to-day aspects of the project and its scope, including possible conflicting priorities and business interests
Work with the business team(s) and various IS&T functional areas to keep aligned.
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and distributed appropriately
Effectively communicate to lead self and others towards project goals, resolve challenges, mitigate risk, and keep the project team and the business partners informed
Manage the change controls of the project and ensure proper documentation and communication
Lead and facilitate regular project status meetings with application leads to understand the project progress and be appraised of upcoming issues / risks
Work with key stakeholders on all project communication and sign-off

Education & Experience

- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's s Degree in Engineering, or equivalent with a minimum of seven years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of experience Masters/MBA preferred
