Job Description

Works in a highly matrixed, cross-organizational team that is directly tied to supporting the reviews of Intel products and that of our competition by the technical press.

A successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Press seeding, both desktop CPUs and laptops to the press.
  • Managing the reviews of Intel's new products and putting up performance workshops for the technical press.
  • Quantifying performance proof points for Intel offerings and positioning them versus the competition.
  • Manages projects or programs where consistent decisions are made regarding the overall goals and objectives of significant programs or segments of the organization.
  • Manages inter-dependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Has decision-making authority at the program level.
  • Sets direction for programs by determining and balancing the technical need vs business impact of project/program decisions and operates within the guardrails.
  • Is the key interface with stakeholders and leadership internally.
  • Creates/tracks/adjusts the program schedule.
  • Assesses risks and identifies solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals.
  • Ensures that quality standards and budget constraints are met.
  • Also ensures appropriate progress against schedule and takes remedial action as appropriate.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Good understanding of Intel and competitive products.
  • The familiarity of benchmarks, characteristics of the benchmarks and the sensitivities of the benchmarks to cores, frequency, power, new instruction sets.
  • The individual should have a proven track record of working with the tech press or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs) evaluating system performance.
  • Good communication and program management skills are a must.

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in technical marketing and creating compelling proof points
  • 2+ years of experience working with the technical press or as a tech reviewer
  • 2+ years of experience evaluating system performance and providing detailed analysis


Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree
