Whole Life Engineering (WLE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. WLE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our WLE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.


Job Summary:
As a Technical Manual SCRUM Master youll be responsible for facilitating successful execution of Technical Manual development efforts in an agile environment across multiple mission areas. In this role, youre an integral part of a team that is actively developing technical manuals in a dynamic, change-oriented environment.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Youll be involved with cross- functional engagement, front line leadership engagement and program leadership engagement on a regular basis. In addition, youll oversee other SCRUM Teams to facilitate backlog prioritization across multiple teams.

An advanced degree can be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Masters is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Education: BS in a STEM discipline or BA in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Chemistry
Employment Experience:
  • 6+ years experience developing Technical Manuals or Technical Writing
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • Technical leadership experience including problem resolution
  • Experience with Enhanced Automated Graphical Logistics Environment (EAGLE) and/or Eagle Publishing System (EPS)
  • Experience developing technical documentation for the Department of Defense or foreign military customers
  • Experience developing technical documentation or training materials or conducting courses for the Department of Defense or foreign military customers
  • Six Sigma or other similar certification
  • Experience developing Statement of Works and subcontractor management
  • Experience developing Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs)
  • Familiarity with standards-based, XML tagging processes and designs and applications for data product developments and engineering to include tagging and build rules with S1000D, MIL-STD 3031, MIL-STD 40051-1 and -2, 2361, MIL-PRF 38784, MIL-DTL 24784, SCORM, TRADOC 350-70, NAVAIR INSTRUCTION 13034, MIL-HDBK 29612, MIL-HDBK 1222, and others.
  • Ability to exercise cultural sensitivity
  • Currently hold a DoD SECRET security clearance
