We have multiple openings for Technical Engineering Specialists. You will be part of the Documentation and Technical Services (DTS) team, which is responsible for document management and control, compiling and reviewing construction- and engineering-related documentation and department documentation. These positions are in the Project Management Office (PMO).

Essential Duties
- Provide comprehensive electronic document control and management for PMO project and program documents under limited direction.
- Assist with developing the electronic document control and management system and procedures and perform file migrations and audits.
- Develop technical document templates.
- Help to ensure PMO team members adhere to record retention policies, safeguard information, and retrieve data more effectively.
- Periodically train employees on records management procedures and policies, including documentation, retention, retrieval, destruction, and disaster recovery.
- Review and edit construction specifications and drawings, engineering standards, equipment procurement specifications, and PMO policies, procedures, and guides.
- Ensure adherence to writing best practices.
- Prepare and develop spreadsheets and data graphical displays to track technical and process information and develop process-flow diagrams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelors degree in engineering, informational technology, project management or relevant functional discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Experience with document management and control systems software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents and experience in technical editing.
- Proven ability to perform independent technical work.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and troubleshoot.
- Significant experience using computers and well-versed in Microsoft Office products, including comprehensive knowledge of usage and style conventions, and SharePoint.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and customer service skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment and present and explain technical information.
- Problem-solving skills necessary to identify strengths and weaknesses and provide alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems, and effectively communicate solutions to others.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using CSI MasterFormat and SectionFormat.

Pre-Employment Drug Test: External applicant(s) selected for this position will be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test. This includes testing for use of marijuana as Federal Law applies to us as a Federal Contractor.

Security Clearance: This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance.

If you are selected, wewill initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if youmeet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. In addition, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing. Q-level clearance requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold multiple citizenships (U.S. and another country), you may be required to renounce your non-U.S. citizenship before a DOE L or Q clearance will be processed/granted.
