The Planning and Production Control Lead will perform a variety business tasks in support of RMS Production programs. The candidate needs to be energetic, willing to learn, able to work independently and have the ability and desire to be a change agent. This individual will manage multiple people across multiple Value Streams in a fast paced environment. Effective management of assemblies and the associated tasks listed below are necessary to prevent a work stoppage or a slip in schedule, both of which would have a significant impact to the programs cost and schedule requirements. This position may also support the accurate and compliant management of processes and records related to Government Furnished Material (GFM).

The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast paced deadline driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in a manufacturing leadership role.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production/customer requirements

  • Responsible to evaluate and status the assemblies that are in progress, material availability, and potential production problems

  • Solve any potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed

  • Control and analysis of multiple and moderate complexity, Bills of Material in an MRP system

  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders

  • Propose solutions to mitigate any work stoppage the factory teams may experience due to any slips in material supply

  • Interface with internal and external customers

  • Receipt and issue of Production hardware as well as managing inventory

  • Support program screening and disposition effort associated with contract close out

  • Coordinate and support inventory research

  • Support DCMA audits as needed

  • Manage and lead multiple Salaried Production Control personnel

  • Approve timecards

  • Daily Factory Leadership interface and interactions

  • Cost / Quality / Schedule performance

  • Interface with other Value Stream Leaders across shifts

  • Prioritizes project issues and assist in the resolutions process to meet productivity, quality, and organizational goals and contractual delivery requirements

  • Provide the required resources (facilities, processes, equipment, training, etc.) to ensure all employees work in a safe working environment

  • Ensure compliance to all pertinent work instructions

  • Total Employee Engagement management

  • Security Compliance

  • Quality Compliance (ESD / FOE / Audit / Training / Certification)

  • Contingency Planning/Execution to schedule

  • Daily coordination and facilitation

  • Team Facilitation

  • Maintaining/Reporting Production Control Metrics

  • Coordination of shipping completed product to appropriate destinations

  • Coordination of kitting of production inventory per MRP

  • Continually look for and implement process improvements

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or additional 2 years of experience in production, manufacturing, or military environment may be substituted for each 1 year of college (8 years without a Bachelor's Degree)

  • Five (5) years total combined experience in any of the following: Supply Chain, Production and/or and Planning Control, MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Property Management, JIT Concepts, Master Production Scheduling, or Delivery Administration. (13 years without a Bachelor's Degree)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management

  • Leadership experience

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems

  • Experience with Government and Depot type processes

  • Proficient with MS Excel to include formula application and pivot tables

  • Experience reading and evaluating lists of parts required for production work and working with a production planning system

  • Demonstrated experience interfacing, collaborating, and communicating with all levels of an organization, as well as with a large external customer base, to accomplish tasks.

  • Critical thinking and data analysis skills to ensure detailed status provided to the Value Stream Manager and team

  • Ability to mentor and develop team members

  • Ability to contribute to the completion of organizational projects and goals

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various disciplines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Experience working with MS Office applications including, but not limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work some OT and odd hours

  • Current DOD Security Clearance

  • Raytheon Special Access
