Job Description:

The System Integration, Test and Evaluation Department is seeking Systems Engineering candidates to perform the role of Systems Integrator Engineer for production programs. The selected candidate will be responsible installing software update packages, trouble shoot any hardware/software issues, perform regression testing as well as work with Production Test Engineers to insure proper operation of the equipment/testing.

Responsibilities:

Develop and verify test plans and procedures
Utilize lab test equipment for testing and troubleshooting
Install software packages to enhance operations and testing of production hardware to keep equipment aligned with equivalent equipment in Tucson AZ
Perform regression testing to insure that changes being implemented do not impact previous (non-modified) code and test conditions/measurements
Should a failure occur during regression testing, perform root cause and corrective action analysis as required
Communications with your counterpart in Tucson to insure that similar code is performing in a similar manner in Huntsville
Support any and all reviews required prior to implementation of changes

This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or Salary Grade G09 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.


Required Skills:

• BS (STEM) plus a minimum of four (4) years of relevant technical/engineering experience in a test environment with emphasis in test planning and/or execution
• Experience and understanding and working knowledge of troubleshooting and failure process
• Experience in use of lab test equipment
• This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Experience developing or evaluating requirements
• Team leadership experience
• Familiar with Microsoft project (or equivalent) and experience managing tasks
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Able to perform successfully in an environment with frequent and direct interaction with customers and peers
