This position reports to the manager of Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Engineering on the F-35 program. In this position the candidate will be performing scientific research, processing field maintenance data, data mining in multiple databases, and statistical/trend analyses.

The successful candidate will analyze and interpret data from operational maintenance data sources for use in reliability and maintainability analyses and includes database queries, tool management and identification of possible R&M improvement projects. Additionally, the candidate will support the Maintenance Lead with researching and resolving action requests submitted by the operational units and Production Aircraft Inspection Requirement (PAIR) development and research. Some of the other responsibilities include supporting the Reliability Centered Maintenance Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis, Failure Reporting, Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis (FRACAS), Trending, and Statistical analysis. Provide R&M data via FRACAS database as appropriate. Support JRMET/TDSB and RMRB boards as required on R&M matters for the aircraft; support evaluation and document deficiencies that impact the R&M performance of the aircraft and participate in the evaluation of corrective action to determine the effectiveness of the fix; track base operations for trends

The successful candidate must be able to help develop concise formats, and generate and present information utilizing computer readouts, graphs, charts, tables, written reports or other methods

Must be a US Citizen, this position will require a security clearance

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree required within Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Experience working with access and or excel databases

Desired skills
MatLab, Minitab, ReliaSoft, or SAS experience

Understanding reliability/maintainability fundamentals and basic understanding of root cause analysis.

Ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy and quick delivery. Effective analytical and problem solving skills.

Effective oral and written communication skills. Technical writing for the preparation of protocols, plans, and reports. Ability to travel as needed
