This is an opportunity to work on the Labs and Tech Services (L&TS) System Engineering team. Labs & Technical Services organization, responsible for developing, testing and maintaining aircraft simulation systems and subsystems utilized for aircraft capability integration and weapons systems development from concept design through production and delivery.

This position is for a Mission Systems Laboratory (MS Labs) Systems Engineering Staff (Systems Integration Engineer) position assigned to the F-35 program. The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as a system integrator for the CNI Functional Stimulator (CFS) and Link-16 Stimulator (BOSS). The CFS and BOSS is a subsystem of the Stimulator System Integration Station (StimSIS) test lines. The test lines are key test venues for integrating, verifying and reprogramming the F-35 Aircraft Mission Systems capability in a Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) laboratory environment. This position will include system integration across multiple test lines and test line subsystems.

Candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and advice to the laboratory staff to support integration, operation, and upgrades to the system.

Responsibilities will involve integration planning and execution, resolution of test line anomalies and assessment of new system requirements. System integration duties include:
Integration of Band2 and IFF waveforms
Perform stimulator, lab SPAR resolution and scenario development
• Datalink
Integrate Link-16 BOSS subsystem
Integrate new update MSIL-STD Link-16 messages
Integrate Link-16 Interoperability with multi-BOSS systems
Integrate VMF multi-connections, TACCP and Strike Link

This position requires unique program security clearance.

There is potential to be performing other work or supporting other projects within the labs or E&T overall

Must be a US citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position requires a Secret security clearance to start, with a current background investigation

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field from an accredited college or university

Experience with Stimulator System Integration Station (StimSIS) test lines CNI Functional Stimulator (CFS) and or Link-16 Stimulator (BOSS)

Desired skills
- Degrees preferred: Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering

- Experience in verifying the reprogramming the F35 Aircraft Mission capability in a hardware in-the-loop laboratory environment.
- Debugging skills supporting SPAR resolution
- Debugging skills to troubleshoot down to the RF component level
- Familiarity with SUN Solaris OS
- Familiarity LabView scripts for CFS calibration
- Experience with C++ background
- Knowledge of datalink tools such as MANDRIL, CIVET, LEGS, TACP-CASS, StrikeLink, WinIDM Workbench
- Strong oral written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
- Strong planning skills to include logical task structure, estimating, etc.
- Strong understanding of product development
