Seeking strong Systems Engineer who will lead stand-up, integration, test, and operation of the Orion SWIM Labs.

The Spacecraft Systems Engineer will serve as the lead engineer responsible for the Technical Oversight of a team of electrical and mechanical engineers responsible for the HW architecture design implementation and leading the team to perform all of the related HW design, procurement, vendor liaison, fabrication, build liaison, installation, checkout, integration, and delivery of the SWIM labs to the Orion program.

The Systems Engineer will also be responsible for
1. Developing technical plans to support system integration, verification and validation activities within these labs.
2. Support risk and opportunity, cost and supportability activities for the broader Orion Test Labs.
3. Support daily technical execution and planning (i.e. In lab troubleshooting and re-architecting) as well as analyzing and redefining the daily support related to the development, integration and test needs of the external users.
4. Coordinate with multiple groups to develop a strategic roadmap for supporting parallel Exploration Missions (EM2, EM3 and on) in these labs.
5. Develop an integrated plan, monitor program tasks, track schedules, budgets, and earned value.
6. Perform system debugging and troubleshooting, and provide technical direction and support to the Orion program

Hardware and software integration experience
Project leadership experience
Strong Testing and Troubleshooting Skills

Orion Architecture familiarity
Orion Test Labs familiarity
MS Project experience
EVM experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with customers
C++, Java, Ada experience desired
