This is an opportunity to work on the Labs and Tech Services (L&TS) System Engineering team. L&TS a highly innovative team responsible for developing, testing and maintaining aircraft simulation systems and subsystems utilized for aircraft capability integration and weapons systems development from concept design through production and delivery. Within L&TS resides an extensive collection of systems integration and test capabilities, including low-cost rapid prototyping concept development systems, high-fidelity multi-ship, real-time, hardware-in-the-loop simulation systems, Reprogramming Laboratories, and hardware-in-the-loop mission systems and vehicle systems integration venues

This is a System Engineering position will assist the site technical lead for the F-35 Joint Reprogramming Enterprise (JRE) located at Eglin Air Force Base, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and consisting laboratories including the United States Reprogramming Lab (USRL), Australia Canada United Kingdom Reprogramming Lab (ACURL), Norway Italy Reprogramming Lab (NIRL) located at Eglin, AFB and Reprogramming Center West (RC West) at Point Mugu, CA.

The primary responsibility of this position is to support the site technical lead in planning operations, managing technical performance, developing requirements, managing customer relationships, reporting to senior leadership, organizing and facilitating cross-organizational meetings and assisting in coordination of complex technical operational teams.

The system integration activities include providing technical expertise for: System Integration execution, participation in System Requirements Reviews, participant in Supplier Technical Reviews, System Configuration Management Controls, System Requirements Verification, System Performance Validation, and onsite installation, setup and acceptance testing of the system

This position will require close coordination with JRE Project and Technical Leadership, plus proactive engagement with L&TS simulation software, subsystem procurement, hardware development teams, and other teams both inside and outside LM Aeronautics, to ensure an effective system engineering communication interface is maintained across the different Reprogramming Labs (RLs)

This position may require unique program security clearances that will be initiated upon selection and acceptance in filling this position. Final approval of these security clearances is dependent upon the Department of Defense (DoD) and could take an extensive amount of time to be granted. During this waiting period, the work assignments directly related to this position will be limited. Therefore, auxiliary organization work assignments will be provided

Must be a US citizen. This position requires special access and a Secret security clearance updated within the last 5 years to start

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university
Experience in performing system engineering tasks such as: requirements development, system design development, system integration and verification

Desired skills
-Degrees preferred: Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Science or related degree
Experience in one or more of the following: aerospace, aviation, avionics, simulation, system integration
Knowledgeable using the following Tools DOORS, MatLab, SysML
Experience working in a Laboratory environment
Good communication skills both verbal and written
Completed system security certification training courses
Candidate has familiarity with F-35 Mission Systems Architecture and subsystems, DOORS requirements management tool, and system performance analysis and validation.
Has a demonstrated software or hardware development experience
Strong oral written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Strong work ethic and self-motivation
Metrics and report development
