  • Job Code
Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer that is ready to engage in projects that contribute to the safety and security of the United States and its Allies while collaborating with some of the most experienced engineers in the industry.
MET-I Description: The Missile Defense Agency Engineering Team – Industry (MET-I), also called the National Team, provides systems engineering solutions to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) for the development and evolution of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). The BMDS is an integrated, layered architecture that provides multiple opportunities to destroy missiles and their warheads before they can reach their targets. MET-I system engineers perform system-level assessments of the existing BMDS architecture and study the impacts of new technologies and concepts being considered for future BMDS architectures. The National Team engineers work closely with the MDA, FFRDCs, and various contractors and suppliers to shape the future of missile defense.

Analyst Position: The successful candidate will conduct analyses of advanced and emergent threats using MATLAB based modeling and simulation tools to support system engineering for development of system and sub-system performance requirements. Individual will also perform development, updates, and benchmarking/anchoring of BMDS M&S tools to support system analysis tasks. Individual will interface directly with government and industry subject matter experts to analyze and formulate performance and functional requirements for system-of-system level requirements specifications. Individual will work in a cross-discipline product team and routinely interface with National Team group leads, senior management, and government personnel responsible for executing analysis tasks. The individual will document analysis results in reports and briefings for critique and review by the National Team and other Missile Defense Agency (MDA) representatives representing sensors, weapons, and C2. Individual may perform as a principal investigator. Individual will lead 3-4 person analysis tasks and will serve as a mentor to less experienced team members
