The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TEEC) applies a systems engineering approach to provide total test solutions that ensure the quality of Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) products. The TEEC uses common platforms and processes to design/develop production, depot and engineer test stations. Opportunities include:

Job Description:

As Test Environment Engineers, we responsible for providing support and design consultation for Test Environments (TEn) and Test Equipment (TE) across all product lines. Our normal day consists of participating in system design, security solutions, system imaging, configuration, data recovery, hardware diagnostics, and unique problem solutions in multiple heterogeneous TEn. Additionally, we coordinate with our Information Technologist (IT) and Cybersecurity partners to help manage user accounts, licenses, network access, TEn infrastructure, TEn database support, system backups, and workgroup server administration. We provide solutions to a wide range of complex problems with frequent inter-organizational, contractor, supplier, and customer collaboration. We partner with security to bring new TEn hardware and software into classified spaces, ensuring compliance with customer and/or Department of Defense requirements. Our work may include on-call work and off-hour support for diverse TEn containing an assortment of TE, operating systems, and software with periodic travel to support off-site locations 2-3 times a year.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 2 years of prior professional relevant experience.
  • Knowledgeable administration experience with Windows, UNIX/Linux (*nix) operating systems in desktop and server environments
  • Installing and relocating desktop hardware in factory environments; ability to complete system backup/restore procedures for critical assets
  • User account management, COTS software installation and support
  • Security+ CE certification or willing to obtain qualifying certification within six (6) months of start date
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting ability with all Microsoft Windows and *nix systems to quickly return system to operational status.
  • US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows (3.1 thru Windows 10), *nix (Solaris 8-10 and RHEL 3-7) operating systems in desktop and server environments
  • Able to describe network infrastructure architecture and operation including Active Directory, group policy design, file sharing, NIS, and DNS
  • Effective customer service and training skills, including oral and technical written communications
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, switches, firewalls, routers, and their basic operation
  • Sound independent problem solving ability of hardware/software issues
  • Strong teaming/communication skills
  • Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Experience with Virtualization to include VMWare, Hyper-V, vCenter, vSphere, and ESX computing environments
  • Demonstrated experience scripting in Windows and *nix
