Our team of talented engineers collaborates across disciplines from initial concepts to product sell off, integrates complex technology, debugs and resolves interface issues, evaluates system performance, demonstrates and sells off state-of-the-art products for areas including radars, command and control platforms, missile systems, and cyber defense. Opportunities for Systems Engineers currently exist within the Radars and Sensors Center under System Integration and Test. Our elite team executes integration, verification, validation, and sell off for numerous defense programs with a primary focus on domestic and international radar systems.

In this center, you will perform various engineering activities depending on your experience and skill level. Some examples are:
  • System integration and test planning
  • System integration and test execution
  • Detailed performance analysis for system integration and verification, including the use of large scale modeling and simulations tools
  • Support to test events, including flight test and field events, either in the US or internationally
  • Technical support for deployed sensor systems
  • Preparing and presenting results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders

Duties and Responsibilities can include:
  • Support integration and test planning, design, and execution
  • Prepare plans, procedures, and test cases
  • Develop detailed integration information sheets and detailed verification information sheets
  • Perform integration and test activities in house or at site locations
  • Utilize DOORS to capture verification artifacts and maintain traceability to requirements
  • Troubleshooting and failure analysis, including the use of lab or field test equipment
  • Complete and compile detailed performance analysis, including the use of tools such as MATLAB

Required Skills:
  • Experience with programming in MATLAB, C/C++, Python, or other programming language
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office toolset (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in an graduate degree program in 2020 (or completed a degree no more than 18 months prior to start date) resulting in a Masters degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering or science curriculum. ABET is the preferred, though not required, accreditation standard.
  • This position requires eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills:
  • Engineering project, internship or co-op experience related to radar systems
  • Experience in radar systems test environments, and in development of test scripts and procedures; experience with automation is desirable
  • Experience with radar systems or signal processing
  • Experience with testing in an AGILE environment
  • Model based engineering and architecture
  • Statistics, random processes and detection methods
  • Imaging / pattern recognition
  • Data filtering and processing techniques (e.g. Kalman, batch, optimal)
  • Cyber security, encryption, information assurance
  • Experience with DOORS or a related database
  • Ability to pursue information (self-starter)
  • Authored Technical Papers and / or Technical Presentations
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Leadership or participation in college campus organizations, athletic teams, or community service groups
