Job Summary:

The Systems Integration, Test and Evaluation (SITE) Department within the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) Directorate is searching for radar integrators, analysts, and testers to support programs such as the SPY-6 family of radars and the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS). Integration and Test engineers are responsible for interconnecting subsystems, identifying and resolving system level issues that may stem from software or hardware anomalies, and developing automated or operator-driven tests in support of system-level requirements verification.

This Systems Engineer role is based out of Huntsville Alabama, but will require up to 50% travel to one of our remote radar site locations, to shipyards across the United States or to other Raytheon Facilities. While supporting the radar sites, the role may require the employee to support off-shift and extended hours.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Support system level radar integration and test planning, execution, and reporting
  • Prepare plan, procedures, test cases, and integration information sheets (IISs)
  • Utilize DOORS to capture verification artifacts and maintain traceability to requirements
  • Develop automated testing frameworks in support of integration and test
  • Analyze data to identify and resolve system performance issues
  • Utilize data analysis results to support system level requirements verification
  • Perform integration and test activities at a Raytheon facility or at site locations (up to 50% domestic travel will be required)
Qualification You Must Have:
  • Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience. Relevant experience includes Systems Engineering and/or System Integration, Verification and Validation experience for Department of Defense systems
  • Background in integration and test methods, processes and development of integration and test plans and procedures
  • Experience with radar systems or signal processing
  • Experience with programming in MATLAB, C/C++, Python, or other programming language
  • The ability to support domestic travel up to 50%
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
  • Experience in radar systems test environments, and in development of test scripts and procedures
  • Experience with testing in an AGILE environment
  • Experience interfacing with internal and external customers, and finding technical solutions to complex requirements
  • Experience with DOORS or a related database
  • Background in AEGIS Combat System Equipment concept of operations
  • Experience with the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS)
  • Experience with the Missile Defense Radar Analysis
  • Understanding of software development collaboration tools (Clearcase, DOORS, SharePoint)
  • Experience in troubleshooting radar systems, root cause identification, corrective action implementation and associated documentation

Clearance Information:
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
