This Systems Engineer position will require the candidate to apply electrical, electronics and physics theories in executing various tasks related to Nuclear Hardness and Survivability (NH&S) engineering discipline. This engineering discipline ensures that military space vehicle and missile designs, from the component level to the system-level, will meet performance requirements during and after exposure to specified environments. These environments may include natural space radiation and specified nuclear and directed energy weapon threats. The breadth of responsibilities expected from the Systems Engineer includes technical planning, specification requirements derivation, modeling and analysis, test planning and execution, technical documentation, and requirements verification/validation to support overall system hardness against radiation threats.

The Systems Engineer will join the enterprise Survivability Engineering group, will be partnered with and mentored by senior experts, may be partnered with and mentor less experienced engineers, and is expected to support multiple programs within the company with primary function focused on supporting Special Programs in the Denver, CO metro area

Skills include Electrical Engineer, Systems Engineer, Physics, nuclear, radiation, SPICE, MATLAB, NOVICE, test, electronics, semiconductor, electromechanical, electromagnetic, Shieldose, and/or Spenvis

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Device Physics, Radiation/Nuclear Physics, or a related discipline
- Experience in Nuclear and Natural Space Radiation environments and in Nuclear Hardness and Survivability (NH&S) engineering discipline/work
- Electrical engineering simulation tools (e.g. SPICE, etc.) and with software tools for performing electrical engineering and mathematical analyses (e.g., MATLAB, etc.)
- Test laboratory environments and associated test disciplines and test equipment (e.g., data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and/or signal generators)
- Good oral and written communications skills, strong interpersonal skills and good teamwork skills are required
- Organized and able to effectively multi-task to accomplish this fast paced job
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a government Security Clearance

Desired skills
- Radiation software tools (e.g., NOVICE, Srim/Trim, Novice/Geant4, Creme96, Creme-mc, Shieldose, Spenvis, Omere, Ap8/Ap8, and Ap9/Ae9)
- Radiation test facilities [e.g., test labs in University of California at Davis, Texas A&M, Indiana University Cyclotron Facility (IUCF), Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL)]
- Electronic, electrical, electromechanical and electro-optical (EEEE) components
- Piece-part radiation testing and radiation effects on piece-parts performance and reliability
- Electromagnetic environment and theories
- Work and interface with peers and senior experts from within and outside the engineering group
- Enthusiastic learner and willingness to be an apprentice to senior experts in the NH&S discipline
- Support anomaly resolution teams
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
