This position is a manager who will be overseeing a newly formed group of systems engineers responsible for logistic systems and automated test equipment in the Enterprise Sustainment Solutions market segment. This market segment is growing rapidly with numerous opportunities for leadership positions as well as leading our Systems Engineers support those programs.

The successful candidate must have a strong systems engineering background and have a passion to help others develop and meet their potential. The successful candidate will be responsible to work with the team to ensure that they meet their commitments to deliver high quality products on schedule and on budget


Additional Job Duties Include:

Ensure that programs are staffed with qualified and capable individuals with the appropriate technical background.

Provide technical oversight, ensuring staffing, and championing process. Ensure employees are accountable for meeting their commitments

Assign each team member tasking that consistent with their professional development

Serve as a stakeholder on all projects involving team members

Ensure that cost estimates generated for the program(s) are accurate.

Ensure that Statements of Work are generated in a timely manner and maintained to correctly reflect the work.

Support manpower planning.

Ensure that technical and cost metrics collected and reported by team members are accurate, timely, and meaningful

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7years of professional experience with a related Masters degree

Proven past experience in Systems Engineering on a development program

Familiarity with System Engineering design process

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills, Experience with customer interaction

Must have the ability to obtain a secret security clearance

Desired skills
M.S. degree in Engineering or Mathematics or other Physical Sciences

Experience / knowledge with at least one of the following areas is preferred:

IT systems modeling, systems design, systems integration, systems test, and/or systems deployment

Experience / knowledge of the Aviation automated test equipment and logistics or Supply Chain Logistics Systems

General understanding of web-based applications and IT systems

Baseline management tool and implementation experience in DOORs, or equiv

EVMS/CAM experience
