Whole Life Engineering (WLE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. WLE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our WLE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

Job Summary:

As a Systems Engineer specializing in technology integration for Whole Life Engineering, youre responsible for the conceptualization, development, and integration of technology that enhances the sustainment initiatives that Raytheon Technologies values.

If youre a driven and detailed, conceptual thinker with a desire to develop systems utilizing software in a Full-Stack environment, as well as a real passion for developing cutting edge sustainment technologies, this might be the job for you!

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Development, integration and fielding of system and software related documentation
  • Identification and understanding of complex systems oriented concepts
  • Application of field and user experience based knowledge to apply human systems integration concepts into product development

Domestic & International travel may be required limited durations (approximately 20% domestic)

This role is a full time telecommuting position.

An advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience may be considered for this role.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Education: BS in a STEM discipline or BA in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Chemistry

Employment Experience:
  • 8+ years experience with Systems engineering, Software development and/or Software integration or Deployment in a military or civilian environment
  • Experience working in a systems role in a DoD or aerospace environment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:
  • Experience with Radar systems, monitoring or troubleshooting
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools and practices
  • Experience with human systems integration
  • Matlab, Simulink, Unix, Linux, C++, HTML, Java, Python, Databases
  • CICD pipeline, Git/SVN, Software build environments, OCI compliant containers
  • Field Experience, Understanding of whole life cycle for product
  • Excellent Customer/ Team oriented mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
