If you are interested in being on the team that builds high performance supercomputers and enables scientists and their research, read on.  The Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics Group's High-Performance Computing Systems Integration Team is looking for someone to join them.

 

Our solutions are being used today to solve some of the world's most challenging scientific problems such as bio-medical research (Covid), climate research, genome analysis, renewable energy - all which require the world's fastest supercomputers to tackle.  Intel needs your help to deliver the next generation in HPC systems and technology.

 

We have a need for a System Validation and Debug Engineer with experience in post-silicon (pre-si) validation, triage and/or debug work.

 

A large part of the responsibilities will be to work with the silicon Design and Validation teams to enable and perform validation, triage, and debug of various ingredients and interactions with the Aurora Exascale System.  This includes debugging at a system-level for RAS, Power, and end-user style workloads and performance across a full SW stack, and in some cases HW or silicon debug for system failures.  In addition, there is an opportunity to develop new test content as gaps are identified. 

 

We will be working with new technologies for our latest project, and a large part of the opportunity will be to debug leading edge integration issues.  Being self-directed, curious, and have a keen desire to learn will be success factors in this role.

 

Responsibilities Will Include: 

  • Understanding and executing/debug of bare metal content on Power-On vehicles

  • Understanding and executing/debug of system level content and applications

  • Partnering with silicon (Si) components (CPU, GPU) for joint validation and debug strategy (including RAS, power, PCIe Gen5, Performance, HBM,)

  • Integrate cutting edge hardware (CPU, GPU, Fabric) into early validation and debug small-rack Exascale class systems

  • Creating test and debug content to validate system-level integration, as well as cross-cut features (power, RAS, peripherals, network, etc) and/or validating new Si and/or board interactions

  • Participating in Power-Ons, Volume Validation and Triage/Debug Tiger Teams, and interacting with 3rd party and end customers

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Masters Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or a related discipline and 2+ years experience

OR a

  • A Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or a related discipline, and 3+ years experience

Your Experience Must Include the Following

  • Linux O/S

  • Pre-silicon or post-silicon, or directly relevant validation experience

  • System debug skills

  • Coding in C/C++, Python, or other coding language

Preferred Qualifications

  • High Performance Computing and/or cluster level debug

  • Ability to isolate system failures through applications and end-user code (MPICH, MPI)

  • Understanding of Intel architecture and micro-architecture

  • Hands-on lab experience with JTAG-based hardware debug tools

  • Experience with hardware system debug tools including logic/network analyzers

  • Documentation of plans, coding, and storing artifacts in a source-controlled environment

  • Familiarity with GIT

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$83,540.00-$133,410.00
