Apple's Platform Architecture group is seeking a System Software Engineer, who will develop novel technologies for modeling and analyzing large compute systems. You will work with our world leading silicon engineering teams on next generation chips, which end up in the hands of millions of users worldwide.

Key Qualifications

• Excellent C/C++ and parallel programming skills required
• Experience developing multi-threaded and multi-process applications required
• Experience developing Python performance analysis tools preferred
• Experience developing performance analysis tools and libraries strongly preferred
• Experience developing embedded software of device drivers strongly preferred
• Experience with SOC interconnect modeling strongly preferred.

Design and develop software components used in a multi-threaded performance simulator

Support various groups (software, architecture, verification, validation) in use of this new technology

Work independently and manage deliverables to different teams

Excellent communication, analytical and documentation skills required

Occasional travel to development groups in the US and overseas.

Education & Experience

BS/MS in CE or CS plus 5 years of relevant experience
