As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and a major provider of the USA and European-based capacity to serve customers globally. 

Intel Foundry Services (IFS) will be differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe - available for customers globally - and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can choose from including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP, along with ARM and RISC-V ecosystem IPs. IFS will also provide access to silicon design services to help our customers seamlessly turn silicon into solutions, using industry-standard design packages. 

This business unit is completely dedicated to the success of its customers with full P and L responsibilities. This model will ensure that our foundry customers' products will receive our utmost focus in terms of service, technology enablement, and capacity commitments. IFS is already engaged with customers today starting with our existing foundry offerings and we are expanding imminently to include our most advanced technologies, which are optimized for cutting-edge performance, making them ideal for high-performance applications.

The responsibilities of the position include: 

  • Analyzing/Translating Customer expectations to a SOC Product/IP Specification
  • Specifying high-level Architecture, driving IP/Technology Selection, Tools/Flow/Methodology requirements, and close collaboration with IFS Customers on Design/Technology Aspects. 
  • Covering the full breadth of ASIC Design and hands-on contribution/critical design problem solving as needed. 
  • Determining, specifying, and evaluating the viability of complex hardware features and ensures that software and hardware designs interface correctly. 
  • Leading and driving tech readiness to enable detailed solution architecture for specific customer requirements. 
  • Defining, documenting, and testing processes, subsystem specifications, input/output, and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
  • Working with internal and external customers to define, influence, and finalize Architecture choices, position Intel assets
  • Working on competitive analysis and position IFS process, IP, packages for the best interests of customers and Intel.  


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship. 


Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the 2 following degrees + the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas of expertise specified below: 

1. Bachelors degree in Electronics/Computer Science or closely related field with 9+ years of experience.


2. Masters degree in Electronics/Computer Science or closely related field with 6+ years of experience.

Expertise areas:

  • IP/ASIC Design
  • Platform Design/Validation
  • Industry-standard Tools/Flows/Methodology development. 
  • Technology issues, IP requirements for HPC/AI/Mobile platforms.
  • Design-Technology Co-optimization
  • ASIC flows for FE/BE/DFT 
  • Foundry process nodes and capabilities 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Understanding customer landscape in Mobile/HPC space
