Job Description

CCG System Integration and Validation (SIV) - SIV team is responsible for validation of all CCG platforms such as Desktop, AIO, Clamshell and Detachable notebooks/Tablets.

We are seeking a strong System validation lead who is responsible for the validation and execution of core and atom platform goals, driving platform health towards meeting milestone goals, who works with a multidisciplinary teams to achieve program delivery schedule/quality goals. Prior experience/knowledge with system validation, defect tracking and indicators is required.

he ideal candidate will leverage a combination of technical acumen, leadership skills, and expertise in key technical areas to guide cross functional teams to successfully deliver products and programs.

Candidate must have experience in leading and driving technical discussions with internal engineering teams, 3rd parties and partners such as Microsoft

This individual is responsible for:

  • Validation planning, coverage definition, co-ordination of first level triage/debug of system validation failures, MSFT HLK, Stress and stability, etc...for a product and its families

  • Responsible for Execution planning, content development, reviews, coverage optimization, execution before deployment, including analysis of test content effectiveness and competitive feature/ UX analysis

  • Owns on-site, off-site and cross geo execution planning and BKC (Best Known Configuration) delivery

  • Resolves internal/ external roadblocks to unblock execution and achieve milestone exit criteria (QRC)

  • Responsible for maintaining and driving actions based on program health indicators

  • Works with peer orgs for feature deployment, system level dependencies, coverage analysis/review and sighting management

  • Point-of-contact for program health and representation into Programs forums like PVST, PSXT, Ingredient/ Platform Sysdebugs.

  • Continuously drives improvement in validation methodology, tools, UX, cycle time and content optimization

  • The Ability to define and track gen-over-gen improvement goals across quality, schedule, and efficiency

A successful candidate must demonstrate:

  • The candidate must have strong initiative, self-motivation, analytical skills, and be able to multi-task.

  • Good teamwork skills are a must as the candidate will be working with various levels of engineering expertise in various geographies

  • Excellent problem solving, written and oral communication skills, ability to crisply communicate test cases coverage, results and blockers/defects


Qualifications

You must possess the education and minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education:

Bachelor or a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline

Minimum Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in platform validation, software validation including experience in test automation.

3+ years of experience in the following:

Demonstrated abilities and track record in test architecture, planning, test case development, tests execution, consolidating test results and indicators

System level validation and Technical experience in all sub systems like Storage/ IO, Connectivity (WWAN, GNSS, WLAN, LAN, BT, WiGig, NIC etc...), Graphics/ Multimedia, PnP, Power Mgmt, and Validation functions like Compatibility, interoperability, Use case testing, MSFT HLK, Stress and Stability testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of PC architecture, operating systems, software life cycle, software validation methodologies, tools and processes

Knowledge of software and hardware debug tools
