The selected candidate will fill the role of the SEIV Senior Engineering Manager for the SBIRS program.
This position requires strong Systems Engineering skills and strong Program understanding that will enable constructive technical discussions with the Chief Engineer Office and all Associate Chief Engineers. This position requires a strong technical understanding of all aspects of the Program to act as a guiding force to ensure the Program development meets the Customer Statement of Work, System Requirements, and is capable of achieving Operational Acceptance
This position will play an essential role on the Ground Proposal Team and will be expected to provide leadership on current and future proposal efforts. This position is expected to interact with the Ground Chiefs and Program Managers to proposed new business ideas and technical enhancements to the system for yearly modification proposals.
Responsibilities include the following:
• Developing capability talent pools and effectively applying resources to program and proposal teams
• Identifying and strengthening critical skills and innovative solutions that provide discriminating value to the business.
• Developing career management plan for critical skill areas.
• Driving employee engagement activities including talent management, career development, training opportunities and employee recognition.
• Proactively addressing employee HR items and promoting consistent management processes at all levels of leadership

Basic Qualifications
• The successful candidate is an established Full Spectrum Leader, demonstrating the following:

• Significant experience in systems engineering or system architecture
• Experience with Systems Engineering life-cycle process
• Demonstrated CAM/EVM expertise including milestone reviews, audits, and (joint) surveillance reviews
• Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
• Experience identifying and pursuing new work (Proposals, ECPs, RFCs, ROMs, etc)
• Expertise in Metrics Collection, Risk and Opportunities Management, and Staffing
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Desired skills
• Experience in an Agile Development environment
• Program Management or Senior Project leadership experience
• Experience forming and growing a high performing multidiscipline team
• Demonstrated experience growing and nurturing the talent within an organization
• Success establishing and cultivating deep customer relationships
