About the Group:

As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and a major provider of the US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally. Intel Foundry Services will be differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe - available for customers globally - and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can choose from including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP, along with ARM and RISC-V ecosystem IPs.

About the Role:

The IFS team is looking for a passionate and driven individual to help define and build complex systems with highly integrated mechanical, electrical, thermal, vacuum and control requirements.

As a System Engineer, you're primary responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

  • Maintaining technical overview for design concepts and solutions inside and outside of Intel
  • Maintain system design requirements relating to performance, reliability, availability, cost, and qualification methods for product
  • Characterize system performance vs roadmap configuration and quantify impact of performance improvement packages
  • Lead research studies, prepare technical reports, and summarize results recommending development solution path

Your daily agenda will be anything, but ordinary, you will also be responsible for:

  • Enable parallel development through regular communication between systems engineering and sub system architecture development teams
  • Generate and/or maintain engineering documents that clearly catalogue system performance requirements and design specifications
  • Understand how subsystems and modules link to integral system performance and contribute to the development of subsystem engineering documents
  • Maintain system performance overview and provide technical direction to resolve or clarify uncertainty in a complex development landscape
  • Communicates architecture misalignments and collaborates with team members to brainstorm and recommend solutions
  • Works with architects to assess and address technical risks, identify interdependencies, and secure cross sector alignment and agreements
  • Prepares technical input for key program decisions for review by executive stakeholders


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Applied science (i.e. physics, chemistry, materials), Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience in one of the following; advanced semi-conductor or systems integration. 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with large system integration, e.g. integrator or architect in multidisciplinary projects
  • Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication high volume manufacturing
  • Work effectively with multi-cultural development partners across globe

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$130,190.00-$221,610.00
