Come and join us! Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join the Ethernet Products Group (EPG) within our larger Data Platforms Group (DPG) as a Software Validation Engineer. Join a creative team of engineers who deliver software for the Intel portfolio of networking adapters. We are seeking an expert Software Validation Engineer to deliver performance testing for the latest Intel networking controllers including emerging smart NIC adapters.


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

       Evaluating performance characteristics for networking devices, identifying and characterizing performance issues, and measuring and assessing competitive performance

       Reviewing and analyzing requirement documents, architecture specifications, etc. to understand the product

       Working with marketing and architecture teams to understand the scalability and performance aspects and customer use cases

       Coordinate and drive strategy for performance testing

       Developing enhanced automation strategy, applying state of the art automation technology to automate testcases, execute test plans, and automate debug and triage

       Manage and guide remote team members to get test plan defined and executed according to plan as well as providing technical guidance

       Independently manage and coordinate execution and planning with other business unit counterparts at Intel

The Data Platforms Group drives new products technologies from high-end co-processors for supercomputers to low-energy systems for enterprise and the cloud, as well as solutions for big data and intelligent devices. The group is a worldwide organization that develops the products and technologies that power 9 of every 10 servers sold worldwide.



You must possess one or more of the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education Requirement:

       Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field plus 6 years of industry work experience, or

       Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field plus 4 years of industry work experience, or

       PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field plus 2 years of related work experience in the following:


Minimum Required Qualifications:

       Validation and debug of software

       Software development concept

       Scripting languages (Python, etc)

       Leading or managing software validation or testing project


Additional Preferred Qualifications:

       Masters Degree or higher

       Experience in network performance and network protocols Experience with DPDK programmable networking devices

       1 plus years of experience in various performance testing tools such as: ( iperf, netperf, Ixia, etc.)
