This team has strong program management expertise, coupled with high business and tech acumen. The team helps influence the future client platform roadmap, and directs the work across dozens of biz and tech resources to pull together compelling ecosystem stories that spotlight key features at product launch.

As a SW Enabling Program Manager, you will work with Planners, Account Managers, Engineering groups, and key Business Unit stakeholders across multiple groups to define the SW ecosystem enabling strategy & business plan resulting in game-changing customer value and experiences on Intel Architecture (IA). Focus areas would be around driving Core CPU differentiation via SW enabling, new products/technologies, new strategic initiatives and usages associated with different form factors.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with the Platform Roadmap Planner to map out user experiences to platform capabilities & enabling strategies and bake those requirements into the business plan.

  • Software enabling strategy for platform capabilities, primarily in support of driving new user experiences on Intel platforms.

  • Conducting a thorough ecosystem scan to make recommendations on the right ISV partner to engage with to bring experiences to life

  • Focusing on the unique client platform features and capabilities that Intel and our partners will be delivering to users, and define the software enabling objectives and priorities our division will adopt to ensure that developers deliver innovative applications to the users and software drives global demand for IA.

  • Performing competitive assessment for the identified usages as inputs into the prioritization process

  • Partnering with other Product Managers to support their efforts to drive and manage an executable POR that encompasses the business objectives of the group.

  • Partnering with long-range Si and OS planners to ensure their insights and direction properly aligns with our ecosystem opportunities, and also provide inputs to influence future HW and SW (middleware SDK, OS) roadmap.

  • Partnering with the App Engineering and Account Management teams to get their learnings, challenges, and insights baked into the enabling plan

  • Partnering with teams across multiple geographies to ensure our strategies and priorities comprehend both mature and emerging markets, as well as multi-cultural users.

  • Managing a pipeline of market research projects that help establish unique insights and discover emerging trends and opportunities.

  • Working with our Geo and Account teams, you will be required to proactively engage with developers and OEMs to ensure their needs, concerns, and perceived opportunities are baked into our strategy.

  • Serving as a voice for developers within the company and in your work with Biz Unit platform planning teams and marketing.

  • Ensuring there is a clear market and business driven ROI for all of our SW enabling plans, and drive the POR process through key stakeholder reviews and management reviews

  • Leading innovation in all we do to help Intel increasingly deliver an improved user and developer experience.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 9+ years of experience in Computing Industry

  • 3+ years in planning and program management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA degree preferred

  • Familiarity with Si and Platform, Product development life cycle processes preferred

  • Good grasp of Client platform roadmap and experience working on client technologies and software experience

  • Knowledge of user experience research and methods

  • Experience developing product focused business plans, Product Requirements Doc
