Whole Life Engineering (WLE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. WLE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our WLE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Job Summary As a Support IPT Lead, youre responsible for providing innovative and trusted solutions that optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of a programs products and services over their life cycle.
In this role, youll leverage existing and new capabilities being developed within WLE as well as collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, including System, Software and Hardware Design, Cross Product and Integrated Product Teams, Chief Engineers and Program Leadership.
As the ideal candidate youre a motivated, conceptual thinker with strong professional experience and demonstrated proficiency with technical publications, curriculum design, development and/or delivery.
Responsibilities to Anticipate: In this roleyoull execute across multiple contracts, with specific responsibilities including:
Using your technical and people skills to help drive flawless technical, schedule and cost performance of contracts, leveraging best practices and cross-utilization of assets.
Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders around WLE inputs to proposals, supporting customer proposal negotiations and executing program start-up, including program Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule and performance baseline development.
Developing and partnering on customer proposals, white papers, statements of work and Basis of Estimates
Supporting and collaborating with the WLE Director and Engineering VP in developing program tracking books, Estimate at Completions (EACs), and compliance with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
Interfacing with the customer to optimize products and solutions in support of achieving maximum Operational Readiness and compliance to contractual requirements as well as establishing open communications and trust.
Growing business relationships, responding to customer needs in a timely manner, addressing complex technical requirements and collaborating with a globally diverse team to achieve business objectives
Approximately 10% Domestic travel required. Less than 5% international travel may be required
An advanced degree can be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Masters Degree is equal to 2 years of experience and a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience
Qualifications You Must Have: Education: Bachelors Degree. An additional 2 years of relevant professional experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college. Employment Experience:
8+ years experience with Training, Engineering, Manufacturing, Program or Project Management in a military or civilian environment
Leadership experience
Experience with program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or experience integrating project cost, schedule, risk and progress
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
Experience with US Navy Radar Programs
Experience using Integrated Master Plan (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) or Risk and Opportunity Management to identify issues and develop implement courses of action
Experience with Gate Reviews
Experience with DOD sustainment programs
Experience with proposal development/management
Broad-based technical background, and a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals with comparable progression of management responsibilities
Familiarity with the development of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and training material created in the EAGLE Publishing System (EPS).
Knowledge of training material, including:
System functional theory, operations, preventative and corrective maintenance, schematics, and illustrated parts breakdowns from engineering technical reports, drawings, and parts lists
Train the trainer Radar courses
Identification of required student Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Programs of Instruction (POIs).
Familiarity with developing illustrations, graphics and flow diagrams to support contract deliverable documentation
Experience coordinating with Technical Trainers to provide technical manual documents to support Organizational Level training courses.
Familiarity with standards-based, XML tagging processes, designs and applications for data product developments and engineering
Consistency, flexibility and accountability in managing multiple and competing priorities
Track record of successfully developing customer relationships to meet contractual requirements and capture the full potential of follow-on business
Ability to manage diverse tasks, requirements and commitments and interface successfully with numerous disciplines
Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Comprehensive planning skills with the ability to analyze technical and financial data and reports.
