Supply Planning Specialist

Job Summary:
As the RMD Supply Planning Specialist for the Operations team youll manage the analysis and maintenance of purchase material planning parameters and the analysis and release of material replenishment orders that result from the master production plan. As a Supply Planning Specialist youll work closely with the Front End Planning, Demand Planning and Procurement functions to ensure that materials are available for production while maintaining the integrity of the MRP plan. You will be part of a collaborative team to assure material is replenished according to that MRP Plan and that the plan reflects operational reality and programs material strategies. This plan will provide the factory and our suppliers with an executable schedule that achieves on-time delivery to our customer, the warfighter.



Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Mange the MRP performance of purchase parts through the analysis and adjustment of key planning data elements
  • Support material release strategies through engagement and collaboration with Supply Chain partners
  • Adjust supply plans and planning parameters based on the outcomes of cross functional collaboration
  • Supervise the matching of demand forecasts with supply plans, developing replenishment plans and material requirements plans
  • Measure and drive team to key performance indicators and driving key business decisions as a result
  • Act as liaison amongst Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Programs, Finance and other Integrated Supply Chain functions such as Procurement and Supplier Escalation teams to assure material program plans are reflected in the business system.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects; engaging partners to make and sustain changes

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors degree is required or equivalent education and work experience.
  • 2 years experience in Supply Chain or Operations
  • Experience with MRP / ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Work in a matrixed environment
  • Collaborate with and influence business leadership outside of direct reporting chain
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • APICS CSCP or equivalent required (must achieve within first 12 months)
